Changes in evaluating JEE Main 2019 Result
There are some major changes that are introduced by NTA to evaluate the JEE Main 2019 Result since the exam is conducted 2 times in this year (January and April). Applicants must be aware of these changes so they are prescribed below:
- Instead of raw marks, NTA will use percentile score to prepare the merit list.
- Use of percentile score is considered to normalize the scores and maintain the difficulty level of various sittings.
- As JEE Main 2019 will be conducted from 8th to 12th January, 2019 therefore, the concerned authority will prepare different sets of question papers.
- While determining the merit list, NTA will not include the weightage of 12th standard.
- The main condition is that the candidate must be among top 20 percentile of 12th standard.
- Otherwise, General category applicants must have secured 75% in 12th standard whereas Sc/St category applicants must have secured at least 65% in order to get admission in any of the IITs, NITs, IIIts or any other GFTIs.
